D# Minor Chord Analysis

The D# minor chord consists of one and one-half steps (from the note D# to the note F#, a minor 3rd interval) plus two whole steps (from the note F# to the note A#, a major 3rd interval). Therefore, the three notes that comprise a D# minor chord are: D# + F# + A#. This analysis holds true for all minor chords. Notice that the spelling of the D# minor chord form in Figure 1 is D# + A# + D# + F#. 

Figure 2 demonstrates a barred fingering of the D# minor chord.
